Senators, Massachusetts and Illinois country bet brackets on Wednesday at the Stanley Cup finals.
Sens. Dick Durbin (D - IL), announced Elizabeth Warren (D Mass.), Mark Kirk (R-ill.) and William "Mo" Cowan (D-Mass.) their bet on the National Hockey League Stanley Cup finals series between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins in a Wednesday statement.
Treats by Durbin and Kirk bet include 312 goose Iceland beer brewery and Chicago's famous Eli cheesecake. Warren Cowan offered Massachusetts Staples, including Sam Adams beer and legal seafood chowder.
"The Bruins team showed extraordinary grit and resolve during the whole season," said Warren in a press release. "I have confidence she brings the Cup to Boston show in the Stanley Cup finals and home strength of Boston on the ice. "Senator Durbin from Illinois me what we should use as asked, I said he should be, what he was prepared to lose."
"I am confident that our Bruins continue to make us proud and the Stanley Cup to Boston in just a few weeks back," added Cowan. "We are happy to see the unbelievable stamina and cohesion of the Bruins team, along with their remarkable talent on full display tonight in Chicago and throughout the series."
Illinois Sens. Durbin and Kirk held true to their faith to the Blackhawks.
"From the first notes of the Star - Spangled Banner to the final Horn, I know Blackhawks fans are"Madhouse on Madison"live up to its name" Durbin said.
"The Blackhawks have won more games than any other team in the NHL this season, and I am confident that they recover four more victories in the Stanley Cup finals will notch," added Kirk.
The best-of-seven-Stanley Cup Finals begin Wednesday in Chicago.
